Our History
Established in 1954, the Houston Lodge is a part of the National Chinese American Citizens Alliance, a non-partisan Chinese American fraternal, benevolent non-profit organization founded in 1895. Our national organization began in San Francisco, California. It was formed as a result of unfair immigration laws passed solely against the Chinese called the "1882 Exclusion Act ". C.A.C.A. has been spearheading efforts against unfair immigration laws, working to promote naturalization and citizenship, participating in the census count, having equal educational economic opportunities, and advocating voter registration,
