(Left Photo Above) Ashley TRAN is a graduating senior of I.H. Kempner High School. Throughout these past four years, she’s been involved in the Math, English, Science, and National Honor Societies. Her passion for medicine has led to a focus in healthcare classes as well as healthcare-oriented competitions. During Ashley’s senior year, she became the president of Kempner’s HOSA - a student organization aimed at providing unique opportunities for those pursuing healthcare as a career. Competing in Medical Spelling, Ashley progressed to nationals, the first to have done so in Kempner HOSA history. Outside of school, Ashley spends her free time volunteering at fundraising events for health organizations such as the American Cancer Society and Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This coming fall, Ashley will be attending the University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in Biology on a pre-med track. She plans to attend medical school in the future with an interest in ophthalmology.
